Michael’s path into productivity coaching wasn’t straightforward. He spent 8 years in corporate finance at a major Hong Kong investment bank, climbing the ranks while watching colleagues burn out despite working longer hours than anyone else. The systems he tried—time blocking, task lists, calendar blocking—worked fine in theory. But they didn’t account for the unique pressures of Hong Kong’s work culture: the constant after-hours expectations, the cultural weight of obligation, the digital noise that never stops.
That’s what pushed him to leave banking in 2012. He earned his Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology from the University of Hong Kong, diving deep into behavioral science and workplace psychology. What he discovered changed everything: productivity isn’t about squeezing more into your day. It’s about understanding how your brain actually forms habits, how to prioritize when everything feels urgent, and how to build sustainable systems that don’t require constant willpower.
In 2018, Michael founded the curriculum department at TimeFlow Academy Limited. Since then, he’s trained over 8,000 professionals across financial services, technology, and creative industries. He’s worked with MTR Corporation, AIA Hong Kong, and numerous fintech startups to redesign their workplace productivity systems. But what he’s most proud of? The emails from clients who’ve actually kept their habits, who’ve reduced their work hours without sacrificing output, and who’ve reclaimed time for their families.

Areas of Specialization
Four core methodologies that actually work in Hong Kong’s demanding environment.
Beyond calendars and to-do lists. Michael teaches proven frameworks for managing time in a culture where saying “no” is difficult, and where work often bleeds into evenings.
His signature “Momentum Method” creates lasting habits in 60 days by working with your brain’s natural reward systems, not against them. Designed specifically for busy professionals.
He doesn’t believe in quitting technology. Instead, he teaches strategic digital wellness—how to use technology intentionally without letting it control your focus and sleep.
When everything feels urgent, how do you actually decide what matters? The “Priority Pyramid” framework cuts through the noise and shows you what drives real results.
His Approach
Michael’s work is grounded in behavioral psychology, organizational research, and 14 years of real-world observation. He’s not interested in productivity theater—the Instagram-perfect planners or the latest productivity apps that promise to change your life. He’s interested in what actually sticks.
His courses combine behavioral science with practical Hong Kong context. He understands the cultural factors that make time management harder here: the expectation of constant availability, the difficulty of boundary-setting in hierarchical workplaces, the guilt around prioritizing personal time. His frameworks aren’t imported from Silicon Valley. They’re built for Hong Kong professionals who want better results without sacrificing their well-being.
What sets Michael apart is his honesty about what productivity really requires. It’s not motivation. It’s not discipline. It’s systems. It’s removing decisions from your day so your brain has energy for what actually matters. And it’s understanding that in Hong Kong’s context, sustainable productivity means protecting your time fiercely—because nobody else will.
